Heartfelt Tribute to Mananeeya Balakrishnan Ji,

With a heavy heart, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tingrai mourn the passing of Mananeeya Balakrishnan Ji,

Ma. Balakrishnanji, Jeevanvrati Karyakarta, President of Vivekananda Rock Memorial & Vivekananda Kendra left his body just around 0005 hrs on 27th August 2026.

His physical presence may no longer be among us, but his teachings, ideals and inspiring guidance will continue to live in the hearts and minds of all.

His noble legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

Gita Chanting Competition.

 Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tingrai, had the privilege of welcoming Brahmacharini Ananya Chaitanya, In-charge of Chinmaya Mission, Guwahati, as the judge for the Preliminary Round of the Gita Chanting Competition. She also shared her valuable insights into the teachings and significance of the Bhagavad Gita with the students. The programme was an enriching experience, inspiring the students to embrace the timeless values of the Gita.
Eighteen students participated in the competition, out of whom thirteen were selected for the next round.

 

80th Independence Day

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tingrai celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The celebration included a disciplined March Past, followed by a colourful cultural programme showcasing the talents of the students.

A Vigyan Mela was organised, where students displayed their scientific models and innovative ideas. Games for parents added fun and excitement to the celebration, followed by prize distribution to the winners.

The programme was a joyful and memorable celebration that brought students, teachers and parents together in the spirit of patriotism and unity.

 

World Elephant Day 2026

Today, on 12 August 2026, for World Elephant Day, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Tingrai screened INTACH's profound documentary, Gaja-Lok: Wild. Sacred. Eternal., for our bright minds from Classes III to IX.
