Universal Brotherhood Day 2026

 Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tingrai celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day with great enthusiasm on 11th September 2026.

Shri Subhash Joshi, Pracharak, RSS, graced the programme as the Chief Guest. The Principal of the vidyalaya delivered a thoughtful and inspiring Welcome Address. Shri Mahendra Sonwal Sir, VMC Member, was also present. A major highlight of the celebration was the enthusiastic and wholehearted participation of the parents. They took part in a variety of activities with great energy, confidence and creativity. The parents presented a beautiful skit and patriotic group songs and actively participated in the Extempore Speech Competition, Chicago Speech Competition and Fireless Cooking Competition. Their vibrant involvement and impressive performances added colour and warmth to the celebration, making the programme truly memorable.


Quiz Competition based on the book "Life and Messages of Swami Vivekananda"

 Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tingrai, organised a Quiz Competition based on the book "Life and Messages of Swami Vivekananda" on 7th and 8th September 2026, as part of the Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration for the session 2026–27. The competition was conducted across three colleges—Duliajan College, Naharkatia College and Tengakhat College, with a total participation of 355 students. 


100th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.

The 100th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika was observed at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tingrai today. Students presented solo and group songs and a documentary on his life and contributions was screened. The programme was a heartfelt tribute to the legendary cultural icon of Assam.
